Fran Silvestre well known architect visits Sotogrande

Fran Silvestre, the worldwide known architect visits Sotogrande in company of Jorge Martí the current intern with Noll & Partners Sotogrande Real Estate. The main reason for his visit was in relation to the project called The Seven in La Reserva of Sotogrande. The Seven is a complex of seven wonderful villas in an enclosed location inside the terrains of La Reserva. Each one of the seven luxury villas will be designed by a worldwide known architect. In this case, Fran Silvestre has created one of the most adventurous proposals but still faithful to his own style, using the newest technologies and state-of-the-art materials. These villas will meet the highest standards of luxury in order to satisfy the necessities of the clients.

Being friends with my family and living both in the same city, in Valencia, he was kindly invited by my family for lunch at home. Taking advantage of his professional visit with Sotogrande S.A., we went for a walk around the residential area, showing him the polo fields of Santa Maria Polo Club, one of the most important pillars of Sotogrande and also, we showed him some of the best houses in Sotogrande. We were able to appreciate the different architectonic styles contained in the streets of Sotogrande and we observed how the complex offered limitless possibilities for architects like him with complete freedom to do the architectonic projects they desire.

And from there, we arrived to La Reserva, and after visiting The Seven, we descended towards Sotogrande enjoying the breath taking views that La Reserva offers all around. For him, La Reserva is a land of wonderful opportunities for architectonic projects, as the volumes, the hills and the views give the complex a huge potential in which the architects will be able to create incredible pieces.

Fran was born in Valencia in 1976, he studied architecture in the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia, graduating in 2001 with excellent grades and specialising in the university of Eindhoven in urbanism. After his specialisation, he worked for two years in Alvaro Siza’s study, in Portugal, and when he went back to Valencia, he founded in 2005 his own architecture study, Fran Silvestre Arquitectos.

His work shows the influences of Alvaro Siza and the sculptor Andreu Alfaro amongst others. We can observe in his projects the modulation, or the light.

Some of his most famous and representative works are Casa en un Acantilado (2011), Casa entre la Pinada (2016), Casa Hofmann (2017) and soon , Casa de los Siete Jardines in Sotogrande.
