Sotogrande, safest place called home

In 2023, Sotogrande has continued to enhance its security measures, making it the safest place to call home. We’ve seen a noticeable improvement in the safety of our community, with only three reported theft incidents this year.

According to the report from the management of Gestión de Parques of Sotogrande: this positive trend builds upon the decreasing numbers we observed in 2021, where there were two incidents, and 2022, with three incidents.

Thermal cameras, fencing, speed cameras, alarm systems and collaboration with local authorities contribute to considering Sotogrande as the safest place in Costa del SolThese improvements can be attributed to the effectiveness of Sotogrande’s security teams, who are equipped with the latest technical tools, ensuring the best possible results. Parques de Sotogrande collaborate closely with local authorities such as the Civil Government, National Police, and Local Police to share information and efforts, strengthening security throughout the urbanization.

Regarding property alarm systems, Sotogradne has maintained a consistent level of service compared to previous years, with 4,981 alarm calls responded to in 2022.

Furthermore, Sotogrande has taken significant steps to bolster our security. In May, they installed fencing in the green area bordering Guadalquitón. This additional fencing completes the perimeter protection. This area had previously experienced several intrusion attempts, which were detected thanks to the thermal cameras installed in the vicinity. We anticipate that this new fencing will act as a deterrent against such incidents.
