Solidarity Moves: The Collaboration between Noll Sotogrande and Centro Remar
At Noll Sotogrande, our work goes far beyond the sale of exclusive properties. We firmly believe that every real estate transaction is also an opportunity to do good in our community.
Today we want to share an initiative that we are particularly proud of: our collaboration with Centro Remar, a charity that transforms furniture discarded during moving into aid for those most in need.
A common need in the buying and selling process
When new homeowners purchase a home, they don’t always want to keep the existing furniture. In these cases, getting rid of it can be complicated and costly.
Aware of this challenge, at Noll Sotogrande, we have sought an ethical and efficient solution that benefits both our clients and our community.
Centro Remar is an NGO based in Algeciras dedicated to collecting reusable furniture and objects to give them a second life. This organization supports marginalized people, including former drug addicts, victims of abuse, the homeless, and other vulnerable groups.
How does it work?
- When a client needs to empty a property, we coordinate the pickup through Remar.
- The organization’s volunteers remove furniture in good condition at no cost to the owner.
- Recyclable items are sent to shelters or sold in charity shops to fund social assistance programs.
A second life for furniture… and people
Let’s imagine this process as a comprehensive recycling system: not only are items kept out of landfills, but resources are generated to provide shelter, food, and social support to those in need.
Every bed, sofa, or appliance collected can become a tool to restore lives.
